Joshua Larkin
Known as Josh to family, friends and clients, Josh is an Attorney with The Skeen Firm, PLLC. Upon graduating from Trinity High School in Washington, Pennsylvania and earning a National Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Scholarship, Josh attended Duquesne University where he completed his undergraduate programs, studying Political Science and Psychology. After an unexpected medical discharge, Josh continued his studies by attending the now-Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University, earning his Juris Doctor.
While studying law, Josh gained invaluable experience assisting different programs and offices in the greater Pittsburgh region, which included being a Member of Duquesne University’s Veterans’ Clinic, as well as, Duquesne University’s Urban Development Practicum where, among other matters, Josh worked to assist U.S. Military Veterans involved in criminal court, as well as to protect the interests of the Shrine of the Blessed Mother overlooking I-376 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
During Josh’s legal studies, he gained further experience working in a well-known plaintiffs’ personal injury firm based in Pittsburgh, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
At The Skeen Firm, PLLC, Josh’s legal practice focuses on multiple concentrations of the law, including matters for contracts, civil torts, custody, divorce, support, protections from abuse, estate planning and administration, real estate issues, municipal law, corporate matters, criminal law, and general civil litigation.
Josh’s experiences have earned him several recognitions and awards, including being the recipient of the Washington Health System Teen Outreach Program’s Alumni Award, for his commitment to ethics and the law, of which he is the most proud.
Josh likes to stay active in his community and enjoys assisting his local Catholic Parish where he is a Member of the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, Josh most enjoys spending time with his two young children.
